Pastor Jim Roecker
I grew up in Saginaw, Michigan and when I was in grade school, my pastors encouraged me to go into the ministry. At the time I thought their suggestion wasn't realistic. But, their continual encouragement led me to attend Michigan Lutheran Seminary for high school where I began my pastoral studies. I attended Martin Luther College in Minnesota, where I met my wife, Elizabeth, and studied Greek, Hebrew, theology, and history. I received my bachelor's degree in Biblical languages and went on to Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. While studying at the seminary, I served an internship for a summer at Faith in Radcliff, Kentucky, and a one year internship at Beautiful Savior in Grove City, Ohio.
After graduating from the seminary I served a new mission church/campus ministry center in Stevens Point, Wisconsin for just about three years. During our time there, Elizabeth and I welcomed our first child, Sophia.
I enjoy attending baseball games of all levels, reading, coffee shops, and spending time with my family. Elizabeth and I enjoy experiencing new restaurants, and exploring the Twin Cities area. We are happy to be in Minnesota, and pray that God would use us in whatever ways he sees fit to bless the people of this great state.
